With regard to MAT, no one. ever tells you how difficult it will be to get off these medications. until you decide either through personal conviction or lack of funding, it is time to quit. These medications are made to be longer lasting in your body, as a result, it takes longer to wean them out of your body than other opiates. For some, the cravings can be much more intense, agitating and overwhelming. We offer a treatment support model that gives you assistance while you decide to taper. This could be over months and sometimes years. We are here to help. Even that last tiny amount of the medication can be hard to let go of. We get it.
